About The Course
This one hour course will clarify what is meant by trauma and will give you practical ways of making your professional practice more trauma-informed. Systemic trauma and developmental trauma are commonly used terms, but they are often misunderstood. Learning Outcomes: This introduction to trauma will provide any professional working with families with a greater understanding and awareness so that you can best support separating parents.
Clinical Psychologist Dr Angharad Rudkin MS (Oxon), Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Societyere
Dr Angharad Rudkin has 25 years of experience of working with children and their families. She has co-authored a number of books for children and parents, including the 'Split Survival Kit', a book for children about coping with divorce. Dr Angharad was a relationship expert for the Metro for 9 years and continues to regularly appear on radio and TV to discuss child mental health and parenting. She has consulted with Government bodies as well as private organisations around child well-being and lectured at the University of Southampton for many years.
